This policy is designed to comply with Google Play Developer Policies regarding User Data and Permissions.
📋 1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a seamless experience, we collect the following types of information:
- Google Sign-In Data: We use "Sign in with Google" for a secure and seamless authentication process. When you log in, we collect your Name, Email Address, and Profile Picture directly from your Google account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
- Financial Data: Wallet balance and recharge history. We do not capture or store your credit/debit card numbers, UPI PINs, or CVVs.
- Device Information & Analytics: Device tokens for Push Notifications, device model, operating system version, and usage analytics to improve app performance.
🎙️ 2. App Permissions (Data Access)
MyAskora requires specific device permissions to function correctly. We request these permissions transparently in the app, and they are used solely for core app functionalities:
- Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Core Functionality. Strictly required to enable 1-on-1 VOIP (Voice over IP) audio calls between you and the experts. We only access the microphone when an active call is ongoing. We do not listen to or record background audio.
- Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): To notify you of incoming calls, missed calls, and wallet recharge alerts.
- Bluetooth & Audio Settings (MODIFY_AUDIO_SETTINGS): Required to seamlessly route the audio between your phone's earpiece, loudspeaker, or connected Bluetooth headsets during a live call.
- Network & Internet (INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Required to connect you with our servers, fetch expert availability, and establish WebRTC/Agora voice connections.
- Wake Lock: Used in conjunction with the device's proximity sensor to turn off the screen when the phone is held to your ear during a call, preventing accidental touches.
💳 3. Payments & Transactions
All wallet recharges are processed securely via the Razorpay Payment Gateway. All transactions comply with strict PCI-DSS security standards. MyAskora only receives a success or failure status from the payment gateway to update your wallet balance.
📞 4. Call Privacy & Security
- End-to-End Routing: Voice calls are securely routed. We do not record or store your voice conversations on our servers.
- Identity Protection: Your personal email and contact details are masked and never shared with the experts you connect with. You remain anonymous during your consultations.
🔄 5. Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to ensure the app runs smoothly. These providers have their own strict privacy policies:
- Google Sign-In & Firebase: For secure one-tap user authentication, profile management, and sending real-time push notifications.
- Google Analytics: Used to track app performance, monitor crashes, and understand user engagement so we can provide a bug-free experience.
- Agora / WebRTC: Specialized communication engines used strictly for establishing the real-time audio connection between users and experts.
- Razorpay: For processing secure digital payments.
🚸 6. Child Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
MyAskora is designed for adults. Our services are strictly restricted to users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that a child has provided us with personal data, we will take immediate steps to delete such information and terminate the account.
🗑️ 7. Data Retention & Account Deletion
You have full control over your data. If you wish to stop using MyAskora, you can request complete account deletion at any time:
- In-App Deletion: Navigate to Profile > Delete Account in the app to instantly and permanently disable your account and erase your personal data from active use.
- Email Deletion Request: You can also email us directly at our support email to request the complete erasure of your data under the "Right to be Forgotten".
